A meeting of price control magistrates regarding price control in Ramadan under the chairmanship of DC

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Deputy Commissioner Captain (T) A meeting of price control magistrates was held under the chairmanship of Nadeem Nasir regarding keeping the prices of essential commodities under control in Ramadan. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Fazl Abbas, Assistant Commissioners, Price Control Magistrates and officers of related departments. During the meeting, it was decided to monitor the performance of price control magistrates on a daily basis. Deputy Commissioner Capt. (T) Nadeem Nasir directed that regular meetings will be held with all the magistrates in the morning and evening to review the field operations in detail. He clarified that in any case the official rate list should be displayed at prominent places and strict implementation should be ensured. He warned that in case of violation, strict measures like arrests and sealing of shops will also be implemented. The Deputy Commissioner directed that during Ramadan”Lightweight”Staff were present in the markets from morning to night to keep a close eye on the prices. It was also decided to make the control room more functional for immediate redressal of public grievances. The meeting directed to set up discount counters in mega marts, however, it was emphasized that there will be no compromise on the quality of food items. The market committee was urged to take effective measures to prevent unjustified increase in prices. The deputy commissioner said that providing maximum relief to the fasting people is the top priority of the district administration and for this purpose, best arrangements should be ensured in every case. He also directed to ensure 100% presence of supervisors in the convenience markets so that government relief measures can reach the people in an efficient manner.
