12th convocation was held in Government College University Faisalabad


Faisalabad (94 News Mian Nadeem Ahmed) The twelfth convocation ceremony of Government College University Faisalabad was held at New Campus. It was presided over by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rauf Azam on the special instructions of Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan. Deans, directors, principal officers, faculty members, distinguished guests and students in large numbers of the university were present on the occasion.
Various sessions of PhD, MPhil, Masters, Associate Degree, MBA and BS Honors programs will be held in the event. 1 Certificates were given to more than 100,000 students.
This year, the students who showed outstanding performance in the academic field were highly appreciated, including
335 Gold medals to students, 333 Co Silver Medals, and 326 Awarded Brown Medals.
Similarly, Ph.D 250 Scholars along with their supervisors came on stage and received their degrees from Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf Azam, which was the most prominent and prestigious part of the ceremony.
Controller of Examinations Dr. Mohammad Asrar, Registrar Ghulam Ghos and Deputy Registrar Zeeshan Ahmed Khan carried out the administrative and formal proceedings of the convocation in a good manner.
Speaking on this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf Azam said that today is a day of happiness and pride for students, parents and teachers. He said that GC University Faisalabad has achieved significant achievements in the fields of teaching, research and institutional development over the years.
He further informed that in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking, GC University Faisalabad has been declared as the first university in Punjab and the second best university in Pakistan.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed the hope that the students who received the credentials will bring glory to the country and the nation through their research thinking and professional skills in the future. He also appreciated the hard work, guidance and role of the teachers in the academic development of the university.
Syndicate members, vice chancellors of various universities, socio-educational personalities, industrial representatives and distinguished citizens also participated in the convocation. The participants appreciated the excellent arrangements of the event and congratulated the Vice Chancellor Dr. Rauf Azam and his team.
