China Study Center at GC Women's University and approval of double admissions per year

Faisalabad (94news) Ninth Academic Council Meeting of Government College Women University Faisalabad
It was presided over by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rubina Farooq. The meeting approved the opening of China Study Center and twice a year admission in the university.
In the meeting, Pro Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zal Huma Nazli, former Vice Chancellor University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore Professor Dr. Muhammad Nawaz, Dean Science, University of Agriculture Faisalabad Professor Dr. Rukhshanda Nawaz, Director of COMSATS University Islamabad. (Wahari Campus) Prof. Dr. Salim Farooq Shaukat, Dean Faculty of Science University of Agriculture, Faisalabad Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asghar, Deputy Secretary (University-I) Higher Education Department, Govt. Punjab Mohammad Irfan Anwar, Chairman Department of Botany, GCUF Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Principal Scientist NEBJ Dr. Samina Iqbal, and Dr. Rizwan Yasin from Department of Economics, GCUF participated. Rizwana Tanveer Randhawa, Controller of Examinations, Prof. Dr. Saima Akram, Prof. Dr. Ayesha Sameen, Dr. Nausheen Syed, Dr. Rukhsana Baloch, and Librarian Misbah Bashir attended the meeting as permanent members while Director QEC as an observer. Registrar Asif A. Malik presented the agenda items as the secretary of the meeting.

The academic council chairperson/vice chancellor presented the academic report of the university for the past one year which included the details of the current ranking of the university, the launch of new academic programs, progress in the field of research and innovation, policies to promote entrepreneurship among students, skill development programs, community service projects, and other notable educational and developmental projects which were formally approved in the meeting. Approval of necessary amendments in existing education rules, as per standards of Higher Education Commission, Pakistan “Open and Distance Learning (ODL)” The policy was appreciated and approved. The meeting reviewed the newly launched programs, and in the university “China Study Center” Approval was also given for the establishment of The Academic Council has approved twice-a-year university admissions in order to expand opportunities for girls' education in Pakistan so that female students aspiring for higher education can get better facilities at the local level. Finally, the Registrar reviewed the academic performance of the Vice-Chancellor during the last four years as Secretary of the meeting.
