The Punjab government fixed the minimum salary of the laborer in the budget 2024-25 at 37,000, but despite the passage of two and a half months, the notification could not be issued.
Lakhs of workers across the district are deprived of salary increase, mill owners started insisting on notification from the workers on the demand for increase.
Work charges, daily wages and workmen working in government departments, authorities, corporations, public health engineering, hospitals and other departments are also affected.

The private sector is worried in its place, but the work charge, daily wages and workmen working in government institutions, authorities, corporations, public health engineering and other departments are also victims of this non-issued notification, who are getting frustrated day and night waiting for the non-issued notification. Faisalabad is an industrial city and the second largest city of Punjab province. Millions of people work in this city on a daily basis. Who will protect their rights? During the survey, labor and labor union representatives said that it has been the history that the labor has prospered during the PML-N period, but the labor problems have increased in this government. Who is responsible for this inattention? The workers have strongly demanded from Governor Punjab, Vice-Chancellor Punjab, Chief Secretary and Finance Secretary Punjab, Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner Faisalabad to issue notification of minimum salary approved in the budget as soon as possible.
