In the meeting “If you have a home, it's yours” A detailed discussion was held on the steps taken to provide administrative and office facilities for the approval of house finance to the aspiring applicants for the program and various aspects of its effective implementation were reviewed. Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rind, Directors Junaid Hasan Manj, Asma Mohsin, Sohail Maqsood Pannu, Yasir Ijaz Chatta, Afnan Saeed Sindhu and other relevant officers of FDA were present while Deputy Chief Manager State Bilal Ahmed, Assistant Manager Bakhtawar Abbas, Regional Sales Manager Habib Islamic Bank Abid Hussain, Area Sales Manager Meezan Bank Muhammad Irfan and other bank officers also participated. He also shared with the participants the details regarding the provision of loans under the program, the procedure and the progress of the banks. Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, appointed focal persons of State Bank and FDA for integrated strategy and strong departmental relations in the meeting, welcomed the officers of State Bank and commercial banks and said that FDA will provide all possible support for the success of this national program. He assured that all the office processes including NOC required for approval of loans will be completed on priority basis at a high speed so that the citizens can benefit from this facility in time.
He said that the housing sector is of key importance in the country's economy and owning a personal home is the basic need and long-standing desire of every citizen. The housing finance schemes introduced by the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Government of Punjab are an important and commendable step towards providing decent housing to the people.
Director General FDA said that the need for residential houses is continuously increasing due to the growing population, so such projects will not only help in meeting the residential needs of the people but will also boost the construction industry, employment opportunities and overall economic activities. He expressed his determination that FDA will fulfill its responsibilities to provide maximum convenience to the citizens and effective implementation of government directives.
