This was told in the meeting held under the chairmanship of Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry, in which a detailed review of the performance of revenue collection during the last fiscal year was conducted and the strategy for achieving the revenue targets of the current fiscal year was considered. In the meeting, Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rand gave a detailed briefing on the data of revenue collected in different periods, the possibilities of increasing the sources of income and the proposed strategy for the next fiscal year. Chief Engineer Maher Ayub, Directors Junaid Hasan Manj, Qaiser Javed, Afnan Saeed Sindhu, Deputy Director Finance Adnan Shahzad, Afzal Ansari, Bilal Ahmed and other officers also participated in the meeting. The meeting was told that during the last financial year, in terms of fines imposed on illegal constructions 25 Crore 42 Lakhs of Rs., Plots Transfer Dues 8! Crore 23 Lakhs of Rs., towards charges for extension of construction period 9 Crores of Rs., towards approval fee of maps 9 Crore 45 Lakhs of rupees, towards land conversion fee 5 Crore 81 Lakhs of rupees, towards commercial charges 6 Crores of Rs., towards GIS Scrutiny liabilities of Private Housing Schemes 2 Crore 13 lakhs of rupees, towards miscellaneous dues 6 Crore 43 Lakhs of Rs 86 Lakhs of rupees while in respect of fee for issue of town planning reports 67 Lakhs of rupees were received. On this occasion, Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry emphasized on the need for further increase in revenue sources and directed that an effective, viable and effective strategy should be adopted to achieve the revenue targets in the current financial year. He said that there is a need to introduce new business models, find new sources of revenue and make maximum use of existing resources for financial stability of the institution and timely completion of development projects. He said that all relevant departments should further improve their performance, ensure transparency, speed and effective monitoring in the revenue collection process and take steps to recover dues from defaulters without discrimination as per law. He directed that all revenue related issues should be monitored on a monthly basis so that there is no obstacle in achieving the goals.
Director General FDA said that financial self-sufficiency is the basis of any organization's strength, so all officers and related departments should perform their responsibilities with the spirit of teamwork to make FDA a modern, active and self-reliant organization. He expressed his commitment that through better financial management, innovative reforms and effective revenue management, development activities of FDA will be further expanded and all available resources will be utilized to provide better civic amenities to citizens.
