Full support will be given for the renovation and restoration of the Arts Council literary sitting, Muhammad Asif Chaudhry

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Director General Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry has said that full support will be provided in the renovation and restoration of the literary sitting associated with the Punjab Council of Arts Faisalabad, for this purpose, philanthropists will mobilize the community including the business and literary circles, because the promotion of knowledge and literature, cultivation of creativity and providing a positive, peaceful and favorable environment to the people of the pen is inevitable. He said this while reviewing the situation of literary sit-in during his visit to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium. Director Punjab Council of Arts Faisalabad Maqbool Ahmed Malik, well-known poet and intellectual Professor Dr. Jalal Arif, Dr. Jafar Hassan Mubarak and other prominent academic, literary and cultural personalities were also present on this occasion. The Director General FDA made a detailed inspection of the present condition of the literary sitting and discussed various aspects of renovating the building, providing basic facilities and bringing it in line with modern requirements. He said that literary lovers will get the support of philanthropic personalities and social circles to make the literary sitting room fully air-conditioned, quality and comfortable furniture, modern lighting, effective sound system, beautiful interior decoration and other necessary facilities to make it an ideal literary center for the people of knowledge and literature. Muhammad Asif Chaudhry said that the patronage of poets, writers, researchers, intellectuals and creators is the main responsibility of a civilized and conscious society. For this purpose, literary sittings will be made an active and dynamic platform where literary sittings, lectures, intellectual dialogues, research discussions, book launches, training workshops for young writers and cultural events can be held regularly. He said that according to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, all relevant institutions are working with mutual cooperation for the promotion of academic, literary and cultural activities, while FDA will continue to play a full role in the patronage and promotion of positive academic and cultural activities in the city under its social responsibility. The Director General of FDA expressed his determination that after the restoration of the literary sitting, it will be made a prestigious, active and attractive center for writers, researchers, students and literature lovers, where there will be ample opportunities to connect the new generation with studies, research, literature and positive intellectual traditions. Prominent literary figures present on this occasion appreciated the special interest and cooperation of Director General FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry for the restoration of literary sitting, provision of modern facilities and restoration of its active role and expressed the hope that this initiative will give a new dimension and further promotion to literary, academic and cultural activities in Faisalabad.
