Faisalabad(94 news) The meeting of the District Interfaith Harmony Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali, in which Additional Deputy Commissioner General Khurram Pervez, Assistant Commissioner City Syed Ayub Bukhari, District Manager Awqaf Shahbaz Hussain and other officers besides Sahibzada Zahid Mahmood Qasmi, Pir Faiz Rasool Rizvi, Syed Jafar Naqvi, Syed Tajmal Hussain Zaidi, Father Emerick Joseph, Ruben James and other members of the minority community were also present.
At the beginning of the meeting, prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the respected father of Pir Faiz Rasool Rizvi. The Deputy Commissioner while welcoming the members of the District Inter-Religious Harmony Committee appreciated the full support of the members of the committee in maintaining the ideal atmosphere of public peace and religious harmony in the district and said that mutual unity, agreement and brotherhood is the guarantee of lasting peace for which the scholars of all schools of thought and their followers The spirit of peace is commendable. He said that communal harmony, inter-faith unity and consensus is the most important requirement of the time, for which the role of scholars is an undisputed reality, whose support, advice and guidance help in maintaining the wonderful traditions of peace and order on the occasions of religious events. Sahibzada Zahid Mahmood Qasmi, Pir Faiz Rasool Rizvi and other scholars said that the scholars of all branches will continue to perform their services for the promotion of lasting peace, religious tolerance and love. They said that according to Islam and the constitution, the minorities living in Pakistan have full religious freedom.
