Faisalabad(94 news)The implementation of the price control mechanism is ongoing throughout the district. In this context, 3225 shopkeepers were arrested, 6210 shopkeepers were sealed and a case was registered against 42 wholesalers for serious violation of the Price Control Act.

Admin Officer DC Office / Faisalabad District Focal Person for Price Control Measures Riaz Hussain Anjum said during a media briefing that Deputy Commissioner Capt. (T)On the instructions of Nadeem Nasir, 57 price control magistrates across the district in the month of January in markets and bazaars 4 4 thousand 451 lakhs, by conducting inspections, action was taken against wholesalers for selling fruits and vegetables, bread, chicken, grocery items at high prices and 6575 shopkeepers were fined 77 lakh 57 thousand for overcharging. Meanwhile, action was also taken against 262 shopkeepers who did not display the price list. He said that due to continuous inspection, the prices of fruits and vegetables have reduced significantly, which is giving relief to consumers.
