Unnecessary delay in redressal of public grievances will not be tolerated under any circumstances, Mohammad Asif Chaudhry

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Director General Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry met the citizens under the open door policy of the Punjab government and heard their problems and complaints directly. While reviewing the problems of the citizens, he directed the concerned officers that there should be no unnecessary delay in redressal of public grievances and every application should be dealt with on merit within the prescribed period as per the rules and regulations. He said that providing transparent, timely and quality services to citizens is the first priority of FDA. Mohammad Asif Chaudhry ordered to speed up the ongoing operation against illegal housing schemes and said that effective action is indispensable to protect the public from fraud and financial loss through illegal housing schemes. He directed the concerned officers to ensure legal action against the promotion of illegal schemes, development activities and sale of illegal plots. He also directed the removal of temporary and permanent encroachments on government land and public roads and vigorous action against the encroachment mafia. The Director General directed to speedy completion of the departmental process of inheritance related to properties and said that the citizens should not face unnecessary bureaucratic steps and delays for solving ownership issues. He directed the concerned departments to review the pending applications on priority basis and complete the process as per the law.
He also emphasized on effective action against illegal commercialization and prevention of illegal commercial activities in residential areas. Similarly, he urged to ensure full enforcement of the law by taking action against illegal and unapproved constructions. He asked the officers that there should be no concession or discrimination in the enforcement action and all actions should be done according to law, merit and prescribed code of conduct. He informed the petitioners that the efficiency of administrative and enforcement departments of FDA is being made more effective so that the citizens can be provided with a better environment and organized civic amenities. The DGFDA further said that the objective of the open door policy is to provide an effective platform to the citizens to raise their grievances directly to the higher administrative level and for their immediate redressal. The culture of transparency, accountability and public service is being further strengthened in FDA and no negligence will be tolerated in addressing the legitimate complaints of citizens. On this occasion, the citizens expressed their satisfaction on the Director General FDA's direct listening to their problems, issuing immediate orders to the concerned officers and taking practical steps to redress the public grievances.
