Performance of Price Control Magistrates shall be subject to consumer satisfaction, Deputy Commissioner


Faisalabad (94 news) Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nair Sheikh has strictly instructed that fruits and vegetables should be sold at markets, bazaars and hawkers according to the fixed prices.
Provide relief to the consumers at any cost and send the wholesalers to jail. He presided over the performance review meeting of the Price Control Magistrates and directed to explain to the Price Control Magistrates who did not implement the inspections and fixed rates. He said that the price of bread should not be overcharged while also keeping an eye on the price of grocery items including chicken and pulses. The Deputy Commissioner said that the performance of the price control magistrates will be subject to the satisfaction of the consumers. The Deputy Commissioner also directed the revenue officers to fulfill the targets of collection of government arrears in different periods. He also briefed on the ongoing implementation and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officers. The Deputy Commissioner asked the Deputy Director of Environmental Protection that the constructions of kilns running without zigzag technology should be demolished. In this regard, the orders of the Lahore High Court should be strictly implemented. He directed the revenue officers to assign duties for continuous inspection of kilns located within the limits of motorways throughout the district and said that those polluting the environment by running kilns without zigzag technology should be punished. Accountability is necessary. He asked the Environment Protection Department to inform the kiln associations about the instructions and make it mandatory that there is no room for violation.
