Faisalabad (94 news) The administration of Agriculture University Faisalabad has banned the former Vice Chancellor Iqar Ahmed Khan from holding a press conference at the official residence VC House and has also issued a notice to vacate the VC House immediately. Earlier, Governor Punjab/Chancellor Agriculture University Faisalabad, before the retirement of former Vice Chancellor Agriculture University Faisalabad, Dr. Iqar Ahmed Khan, held a selection board and syndicate meeting one after the other and canceled the recruitment of Professor Zameet 228 in the university against the rules, declaring it illegal. He also ordered an investigation against the serious allegations of recruitment of 608 employees including illegal, alleged corruption, nepotism. Former Vice-Chancellor Dr. Iqar Ahmed Khan was the Vice-Chancellor for the last 15 years, and he is considered special by former Federal Minister Rana Sanaullah. According to the law of the University of Agriculture, any Vice-Chancellor has to vacate the VC House within a week after retirement, but Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan has not yet vacated the VC House after retirement. A notice to vacate the sea house was also given. Three months before his retirement, Dr. Iqar Ahmad Khan abused his powers by calling 14 meetings of the Selection Board one after the other to award professors, associate professors, assistant professors and others according to his approval during July to October 2024, and 606 people were recruited, including 103 New and 125 other employees including those working in the university were involved and the scores obtained in the test were manipulated to favor the candidates against the interview and the qualified candidates were ignored. Most of the candidates were given additional marks for their technical experience and third party services were not obtained, on which the Governor of Punjab expressed his anger on the decisions of the Selection Board and the Syndicate meeting and rejected the recruitment of 608 people as against the rules and regulations. Dr. Iqar Ahmed Khan held a press conference at the Press Club Faisalabad after not being allowed to hold a press conference by the University of Agriculture administration.
