Iran-US talks are welcome, the parties should take advantage of the golden opportunity, UN Secretary General

New York (94 news) United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres welcomed the talks between the United States and Iran in Islamabad and urged the parties to participate in the talks with sincerity.

 According to UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said he considers this diplomatic opportunity an important development and urges the parties not to waste it and to negotiate constructively so that a lasting and comprehensive agreement is possible.

It should be noted that these important talks are taking place in Islamabad under the mediation of Pakistan, with the aim of resolving the crisis arising from the recent tension between the United States and Iran through diplomatic channels.
