DC Ali Shehzad inspects proposed land for journalist colony in FDA City

All necessary steps are being taken to make the Journalist Colony a success, Deputy Commissioner

Faisalabad(94 news) On the direction of the Punjab government, departmental measures are being taken forward to establish a journalist colony on a sustainable basis so that this long-standing demand of local journalists can be fulfilled amicably.

Deputy Commissioner Ali Shahzad said this while inspecting the proposed land for journalist colony in FDA City. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue)Fazal Rabi Cheema and Assistant Commissioner (President) Mansoor Qazi was also with him.

Director State Management FDA City Sohail Maqsood Pannu briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the location of the proposed place for Journalist Colony and the departmental progress so far. Deputy Director State Management Mian Asdamjaid, Deputy Director Engineering Talha Tabasim, other officers of FDA and staff of Finance Department were also present on the occasion. According to the revenue records, the Deputy Commissioner while reviewing the proposed place for Journalist Colony said that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the success of this project to ensure comprehensive planning keeping in mind the ground realities and at some place any technical , technical or administrative hurdle should not remain. He asked the FDA officers to keep the institutional measures active for the establishment of Journalist Colony and to be in close touch with the Punjab Government including the district administration. Director State Management FDA said that the case has been sent to the Punjab government by planning the available 221 kanals of land adjacent to FDA City X block, while the FDA administration is also in touch with the Punjab Journalist Housing Foundation.
