According to a member of the academic council of the university, a resolution was presented regarding the change in the political science curriculum, according to which 'Iqbal: The subject titled 'Community' has been removed from the syllabus.

According to him, this change in the syllabus was done in connection with the drive to modernize it, however, other thinkers including Rammohan Roy, Pandita Ramabai, Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi and Bhimrao Ambedkar are part of the syllabus.
