Awareness seminars across the division of animal skins protection on Eid ul Adha

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, an important awareness seminar was organized by Livestock Department Faisalabad Division for effective preservation of animal skins, timely care and prevention of wastage. It was presided over by Director Livestock Faisalabad Division Dr. Syed Nadeem Badr. Additional Director Livestock Faisalabad Dr. Muhammad Qaiser Khaliq was also present on this occasion.
The seminar informed the butcher community about modern methods of preserving animal hides, proper salting, and safe storage. Experts said that fur is a valuable national asset, which needs to be managed properly to improve the country's economy. In this regard, Director Livestock Dr. Syed Nadeem Badr further informed that in view of Eid-ul-Azha, several awareness seminars and meetings are being organized across Faisalabad Division and awareness brochures are also being distributed with the aim of providing modern training to butchers and related persons regarding the protection of skins.
This effort of the Livestock Department is not only the need of the hour but a positive step towards making the sacrifice process more systematic, purposeful and useful. On the other hand, the inspection process is also ongoing to ensure the facilities provided to the public by the veterinary staff posted at cattle markets, sale points and check posts by the officers of the Director Livestock Faisalabad Division, Districts and Tehsils across the division.
