A student of GC Women's University has set a new record in sports competitions

Faisalabad (94 news) A ceremony was organized to pay tribute to the sports stars of Women University Faisalabad for their outstanding performance and medals in the 34th Pakistan National Games organized by HEC in Quetta, which was presided over by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rubina Farooq. 34th National Games in Quetta by Uzmi Azam playing from the platform of HEC 2023 I set a new record in the event by throwing the hammer at a distance of 41 meters and won the gold medal. While Maleeha Saleem, Munahil Jabin, Aqsa Siddique and Oruj Zahid won bronze medals in volleyball and Noorul Ain Saeed won in pole vault.

Addressing the ceremony, the Vice Chancellor said that five acres of land has been allocated for a sports complex in the new campus. It is desired that all national sports will be held in the sports complex in the near future. The Vice-Chancellor said that it is hoped that fifty female students will register their name on the success scorer board in sports next year.

He further said that sports are the best combination of mental and physical harmony, keep the body agile and energetic, and keep away from the characteristics of sportsmanship. He appreciated the services of star players, Registrar Asif A. Malik and Director Sports Fahmida Ayub and thanked HEC for organizing this mega event for the students. And described the performance of the players as proud for the institution and HEC.

The Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Zal Huma Nazli said that the university has always produced the best players and said that this success is the result of the team work of the players and their teachers, for which kudos to all of them. Registrar Asif A. Malik said that it is a matter of pride that despite facing all kinds of difficulties, the students have made the name of the university bright and said that such success is very important in life. handed over to GCWUF for which they are grateful. At the end of the ceremony, the cake was cut and the students were presented with certificates and flower bouquets.
