Decision to maintain prices of petroleum products, public hopes have died

Islam Abad(94 news) Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has decided to maintain the prices of petroleum products at the current level. The Prime Minister has decided to transfer the entire financial benefit to the public in electricity prices while maintaining the petroleum prices at the previous level.

Shahbaz Sharif said that this initiative is one of many other initiatives that will lead to a significant reduction in electricity rates. Regarding electricity prices, Shahbaz Sharif said that a package is being prepared under a comprehensive and effective strategy to reduce electricity prices, the details of which are being finalised.

The Prime Minister said that the package regarding reduction in electricity rates will be announced in the next few weeks. As soon as he took over the government, he pledged to give priority to public relief. The Prime Minister expressed his determination to provide relief and more convenience to the public in the event of a reduction in electricity rates in the next few weeks. He said that this relief will not only reduce electricity prices. Rather, it will have an impact on the overall inflation and further decrease it.
