Islam Abad(94news) Federal Finance Minister Asad Umar has said that inflation will increase further in the coming days, on which people will shout. He said that there is a possibility of increase in electricity and gas prices.

Asad Umar, while giving a briefing in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Finance, said that the previous government tried to use it in the election by not increasing the price of electricity, due to which this department faced a loss of 450 billion rupees. But now this deficit has to be eliminated and the increase in the price of electricity and gas is inevitable, so the inflation will increase further.

He said that when the economy is improving, inflation increases but it is for the betterment of the country and the people.

He further said that negotiations with the IMF are going on. Differences between Pakistan and the IMF have decreased and Pakistan will get loans soon. He said that the IMF has asked to take further steps.

Finance Minister Asad Umar said in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Finance that the IMF has demanded that the price of gas and electricity be increased, and the IMF has also demanded that the price of the dollar be brought to the market rate, but the government of Pakistan does not intend to do so.
