Provincial Minister for Specialized Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq and Secretary of State for Azmat Mahmood visit Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology

Faisalabad (94 news) According to the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the mission of providing required resources in Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology is on its way to completion. Provincial Minister Specialized Health Khawaja Salman Rafiq visited Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology. Secretary Specialized Health Azmat Mehmood also accompanied him. Commissioner Faisalabad Maryam Khan informed the provincial minister and secretary about the treatment facilities and required resources in FIC. Special Secretary Operations Tariq Mehmood Rahmani, Dr. Farqad Alamgir, Chief Planning Officer Abdul Haq Bhatti, Additional Secretary Anwar Briar and Deputy Secretary Finance Hamad Al Arab, Executive Director FIC, Medical Superintendent and other doctors were also present. Provincial Health Minister presided over a high-level meeting in the conference room and said that immediate steps are being taken to meet the shortage of doctors in the hospital. Medical officers and post-graduate trainers will be appointed in this institution. He said that it has been decided to connect the beds in the ICU with ventilators. It is our first priority to make the pediatric cardiac surgery unit fully functional. He directed the Executive Director to provide the list of doctors of Children's Hospital, Allied One and Allied II Hospitals to complete the human resource. He said that the shortage of doctors including senior registrars and associate professors will be completed soon. Khawaja Salman Rafique said that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif is increasing the capacity of cardiology hospitals. Provincial Health Minister, Secretary Health and Commissioner Faisalabad also visited FIC Hospital and observed the medical facilities provided to patients suffering from heart disease in other departments including the ward on the fourth floor. Also visited the Children's Hospital on Jhang Road and carefully reviewed the health facilities provided to the sick children.
