Sewerage problems of Sargodha Road and adjoining areas will be solved on priority basis, MD Vasa

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Managing Director WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema has directed to streamline the sewage system of the areas adjacent to Sargodha Road for which WASA staff and representatives of industrial units will jointly conduct a comprehensive survey of Sargodha Road. While presiding over the meeting of the management representatives of industrial units of Sargodha Road, MD Vasane said that a plan for de-silting and cleaning of road side drain lines around Sargodha Road has been formulated so that the sewage problems of the adjacent areas can be solved on a priority basis. He further said that the survey of Sargodha road will be divided into three parts in which the survey will be conducted in the first phase from Sui gas offices to Bawa Chak, in the second phase from Bawa Chak to Nalka Kohala and in the third phase from Nalka Kohala to the motorway to identify the problems and complete the de-silting of the road side drains line under a comprehensive plan. MD Wasa clarified that if the road side drain slab is damaged, it will be repaired, if the manholes are missing, they will be covered immediately. He made it clear that the industrial units established on Sargodha Road must be shut down during the rains, on which the representatives of the industrial units assured full cooperation. Deputy Managing Director Services Muhammad Maqbool Sanpal, Director Operations West Makhdoom Babar, Director Drainage Usman Latif and other officers were also present in the meeting.
