Two-day women's volleyball trials were held, a large number of fifteen to twenty-five-year-old girls arrived to give trials.

Multan (94 news) Under the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, the Higher Education Commission in collaboration with Government College for Women University Faisalabad organized two-day volleyball trials in Multan/Bahawalpur region. These trials are being organized in Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan, in which a large number of girls between the ages of fifteen and twenty five years are coming for the trials. Dr. Sarwat Sultan in-charge Sports and Tars Mohiuddin Director Sports Bahauddin Zakariya University and Abida Khan were the chief guests of the opening ceremony of the trials. Addressing the girls who came for the trials, he said that it is an excellent initiative of the Prime Minister of Pakistan that the trials of selected sports are being organized from all over the country so that talented boys and girls can come forward. He congratulated the Vice Chancellor and Registrar of Government College for Women University Faisalabad for successfully completing the volleyball trials. He further said that while the universities are asked to take steps for improvement in education and training from time to time, it is gratifying that the universities are also playing a positive role in the promotion of sports under the auspices of the Higher Education Commission.

Remember, after the trials, the best performing girls will get a chance to represent their respective cities in the provincial league. The girls will perform well in the provincial league and after training under the supervision of competent coaches, they will get an opportunity to play in the national league. Director Sports Fahmida Ayub thanked the Sports Department of Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan who appreciated the efforts of Director Sports Higher Education Commission Javed Ali Memon for supervising the trials well in the twenty five regions of Pakistan. The selection committee of these trials includes Azra Farooq, the captain of the Pakistan volleyball team.
