Main Channels, Road side drains, sewerage lines will be strictly monitored, MD WASA

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Vasa Managing Director Sohail Qadir Cheema has directed to complete de-silting under a comprehensive and effective plan and clarified that there will be strict monitoring of de-silting of main channels, roadside drains and sewage lines.

While presiding over the meeting of the officers of Operations and Drainage Directorates, he said that there is a deadline for de-silting of all main lines by the end of December and de-silting should be completed in any case according to the same time frame, while de-silting of road side drains line of Mall Road, State Bank Road and Minerva Chowk should be completed in any case within a week and I will inspect it myself. MD WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema further said that de-silting of main channels, road side drains and sewage lines is of utmost importance to provide quality and best drainage facilities to the citizens, so any kind of neglect or carelessness is unacceptable. He urged that the Directorate of Drainage prepare a comprehensive plan for de-silting of main channels and bring maps in the next week's meeting so that the de-silting can be improved keeping them in mind.
