Delay in development program schemes will not be tolerated, MD WASA

Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Vasa Managing Director Sohail Qadir Cheema has warned that delay in ongoing schemes under the annual development program will not be tolerated under any circumstances while notices should be issued to the contractors showing slowness. While presiding over the meeting to review the progress of construction works of development projects under ADP, he said that the speed of construction works of development schemes should be accelerated while there should be no compromise on quality to maintain transparency. MD Vasa Sohail Qadir Cheema clarified to the consultant agency Nespak that the construction work on Jhang Road should be started within a week while P.S. 34 But the construction work should start tomorrow in any case and also all the NLC works should be started in the next week. He added that the pipe laying work should continue with full speed and at least in a day. 2 1000 feet line should be laid, similarly Nespak completes the designs of development projects in any case. MD WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema made it clear that a weekly report should be provided about the progress of the ongoing development schemes and the construction works should be completed in any case as per the set timeline. He further said that the timely completion of the development schemes is very important as the completion of these schemes will provide significant relief to the citizens in their sewage problems.
