Faisalabad(94 news) In order to keep the bright future of the dear country away from addiction, every individual needs to move forward with determination and play his vital role so that a healthy society can be developed by saving the youth from this disease. This was said by Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed Dogar, in-charge of Department of Psychiatry, Faisalabad Medical University, while addressing the anti-narcotics seminar at Government Comprehensive Girls Higher Secondary School Madina Town organized by Anjuman Anti-Narcotics District Headquarters Hospital. General Secretary Anjuman Anti Narcotics Association Anwar Khan, Muhammad Sarfraz Anwar, Muhammad Parvez, Medical Social Officer Rabia Khalid, Inspector Ali of Anti-Narcotics Force, Madam Shakeela, Principal of Mehr-ul-Nisaa and other teachers and students also participated.
The psychologist said that addiction is the root of all evils that paralyzes human life and it is very important to avoid it. He asked the female students to participate in co-curricular activities along with education so that they are safe from other social evils including addiction. He informed about the types of addiction, its adverse effects on human health, its prevention and precautions. He said that a center for the rehabilitation of drug addicts has been established in the District Headquarters Hospital where the patients suffering from this addiction are being treated. The General Secretary presented the performance of Anjuman Anti-Drugs and said that all sections should play a role to arouse hatred against drugs in the society. In the seminar, Medical Social Officer, Anti-Narcotics Inspector, President and Vice-President of Anti-Narcotics Association, Madam Shakeela and others also addressed the seminar and emphasized on awareness to keep the hatred against drug addiction awake. The principal said that it is necessary to educate the next generation against drugs. On this occasion, the students also presented speeches highlighting the hatred against drug addiction.
