Decisions on Quran are not in our law, if it were, the jails would be empty, Supreme Court

Islam Abad (94 news) Justice Malik Shahzad of the Supreme Court while hearing the case remarked that decisions on the Quran are not in our law, if it were, the jails would be empty today.

The Supreme Court rejected the pre-arrest bail application of the accused of burning animals at the house of opponents, headed by Chief Justice Yahya Afridi. 2 A member bench heard the case, in which Justice Malik Shahzad inquired whether houses and animals were really burnt.

The police officer told the court that the house and animals were burnt, but no bullet shells were recovered from the spot. The lawyer of the plaintiff case said in his argument that the accused wanted to buy the plot from us, the house and animals were burnt for not selling the plot.

Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed asked what the declared and unannounced investigation of the police says? On which the police officer said that the accused took an oath on the Quran in the Jirga that we did not do anything.

Justice Malik Shahzad remarked that if the verdicts were based on the Quran, then the jails would be empty, verdicts on the Quran are not in our law, the police have to collect their own evidence.

The police official told the court that no one gave evidence to the police against the accused, on which Justice Malik Shahzad Ahmed said that no one burns his own house and animals.

Accused Amjad Ali filed a pre-arrest bail application, a case was registered against the accused in Skarund area in March this year.
