Crimes against journalists must end: Islamabad High Court


Islam Abad(94 news) In the case against the kidnapping of well-known journalist Matiullah, Chief Justice Atharmanullah said that this is a matter of freedom of press and freedom of expression, crimes against journalists should be stopped, the whole state is responsible for what happened yesterday.
The court, while dealing with the petition filed against the kidnapping of journalist Matiullah Jan, directed the police to take legal action against the kidnappers.
According to the details, a hearing was held in the Islamabad High Court on the petition against the abduction of journalist Matiullah Jan. On behalf of the police, DIG Operations Waqaruddin Syed appeared before the court.

Jahangir Jadoon Advocate said to issue instructions to the police to investigate and tell the court who is involved in the incident. , this court cannot monitor this case.
The court said that we have to trust the police and the state, let them act according to the law, DIG Waqaruddin Syed said that an FIR has been registered on the kidnapping of Mutiullah Jan.
The court said that the legislators should amend the law to include the provisions of terrorism in crimes against journalists. The court disposed of the petition filed against the kidnapping of journalist Matiullah Jan while directing the police to take legal action against the kidnappers.
