If the government does not withdraw the decision on unfair traffic fines, there will be a wheel jam strike, Transporters Associations

The heavy and unfair fines of the traffic police have paralyzed the transport sector, the stoves of the houses are shutting down, thousands of families have suffered financial difficulties, the speakers expressed from the press conference at the Press Club.

On this occasion, City President Rana Kashif said that the issued ordinance has broken the back of the transporters, that is why. 50 Percent vehicles have already stopped. He said that the rest after the press conference 50 Percent transport will also be stopped. He demanded the government to accept the demands of the transporters immediately and withdraw this ordinance.
General Secretary Mohammad Tanveer said that the transport sector is already burdened by inflation, fuel prices and taxes, heavy fines are proving disastrous for transporters. He said that the transporters have repeatedly informed the government about the problems but no one is ready to listen.
President Pasban Rickshaw Taxi Union Mian Ijaz said that lakhs of rickshaws and wagons ply in Faisalabad, on which the employment of thousands of families depends, but the government has strangled them through the burden of fines and toll plazas. He said that if the government does not accept the demands of the transporters, no rickshaw, wagon or bus will ply in the city. Other officials including Azim Randhawa said that a poor rickshaw driver cannot afford to pay heavy challans, such situations push him to despair and take extreme measures. He said that the fees of the toll plazas have also made it impossible for the transporters to live, they have to pay dozens of toll fees during the journey from Karachi to Faisalabad which is absolute cruelty.
The leaders announced that the transporters would go on a peaceful strike and record a sit-in protest, but the protest would continue until the ordinance was withdrawn.
