Seminar and cultural exhibition on the occasion of Turkish Republic Day at GC Women University, Faisalabad, Multam Shamsek, wife of Consul General of Turkey, Lahore, was the special guest.

The chief guest of the ceremony was Multam Shamshek, wife and special representative of Consul General Turkey Lahore. In his address, he said that the relationship between Pakistan and Turkey based on faith, friendship and mutual trust has always been strong. Appreciating GC Women's University's promotion of intercultural ties and the creativity of students, he said, "Such activities bring the people of both countries closer and deepen the bond of love."
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Amin, in his address, thanked the Turkish Consulate and said that the cooperation with Turkey reflects the vision of GC Women's University to make students globally aware, tolerant and appreciative of cultural diversity. "Such programs promote educational and cultural cooperation and strengthen the relationship between the two countries," he said.
The program began with the inauguration of the "Turkish Cultural Exhibition" which showcased beautiful works highlighting Turkish culture, heritage and Pak-Turkish friendship. Information stalls on Turkish language, literature and traditions were set up by the Department of English, Political Science Art and Design and Women Development Center which were well received by the participants.
The students presented a short documentary and cultural program on Pak-Turkey relations which made the event more colorful.
Multam Shimshek and Vice Chancellor Dr Kanwal Amin participated in a friendly table tennis match which became a symbol of love and goodwill between the two countries.
At the end, honor shields were presented to the distinguished guests.
