Election of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists Workers, Shahid Ali elected Secretary General
Islam Abad(94 news) Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (Workers ) Two-year election for 2022 -2024 Parvez Shaukat was elected unopposed as President and Shahid Ali as Secretary General.
According to the notification issued by the election committee consisting of Ghulam Abbas Tanveer, chairman of the election committee, members Nasir Sheikh and Shaukat Voto. 2 In july 26 Aspirants have filed their nomination papers. No objection was filed against any candidate. Election Committee 26 Announced that the aspirants were elected unopposed.
According to the Election Committee, Parvez Shaukat is the President of Pakistan, Shahid Ali is the Secretary General, Senior Vice President Bakht Jair (Lahore ) , Vice President Irfan Arahi (Hyderabad ) Vice President, Tahir Rathore, Treasurer Shoaibuddin (uncle)Assistant Secretary General Mian Muhammad Sami was elected Assistant Secretary General from Islamabad, Sikandar Mughal was elected Assistant Secretary General from Gujranwala, Anees Haider was elected Assistant Secretary General from Karachi, while Rana Mohsin Farooq, Ms. Mian Naseer was elected member of the Federal Executive Council.
Speaking on this occasion, the newly elected President Pervaiz Shaukat said that he has been serving the workers for forty years and he has not received any financial support from any government or any political or non-political organization for his entire life for union formation or the fight for worker's rights. He said that very good trade unionists, honest and educated people have joined my organization. And enforce labor laws in the media industry, employers who will give rights to workers and pay salaries according to the wage board can be fully supported.
Newly elected Secretary General Shahid Ali said that Parvez Shaukat is a troubled trade union leader and I will work together with him to solve the problems.
