Resolution passed on collection of municipal charges in electricity bills


Karachi (94 news) The resolution to collect municipal charges in electricity bills has been approved in Karachi City Council, Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has announced a no-confidence motion against Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab.
A meeting of the City Council was held under the chairmanship of Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, in which a resolution was presented to collect municipal charges through electricity bills, then the opposition members objected.
During the city council meeting, the situation worsened when Tehreek-e-Insaf's defector Asad Aman started expressing his views in the council, while another group of PTI started shouting slogans, which was joined by members of Jamaat-e-Islami. A deafening voice could not be heard in the fierce sloganeering, meanwhile the members of both the groups came in front of each other and the fight started, but when the situation became tense, the members of Jamaat-e-Islami and PPP controlled the situation.
It should be noted that a group of PTI in the city council led by Asad Aman is supporting the PPP, while another group led by Mubasher is a supporter of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeemur Rehman severely criticized the Mayor Karachi and said that we tried our best to run the city council meeting but the attitude of the People's Party-occupied mayor is in front of the nation, we will send him home through a no-confidence motion.
Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad said in his response that Jamaat-e-Islami brought no confidence and will fight.
