The use of polythene bags has been banned in Faisalabad and Gujranwala

Lahore (94 news) Lahore High Court has banned the use of polythene in two more cities.

According to the details, the Lahore High Court has banned the use of polythene bags in malls and shopping centers in Faisalabad and Gujranwala after Lahore. Justice Shahid Karim ordered DG Environment to fully implement the court order.

 Lahore High Court Justice Shahid Karim heard the request of Salman Khan Niazi Advocate. The petitioner's lawyer took a stand that despite the court order, the environment department is not implementing the ban on the use of polythene bags, due to which the city's drainage system is being affected, the citizens are facing serious problems while environmental pollution is also increasing, the court should take action against those responsible.
