Jamaat-e-Islami demonstration in Islamabad, attempt to go to US Embassy, including former Senator Mushtaq 20 Arrested
Islam Abad (94 news) اسلام آباد پولیس نے آبپارہ چوک پر جماعت اسلامی کے سابق سینیٹر مشتاق احمد کی قیادت میں نکالی گئی ریلی کے شرکا کو امریکی سفارتخانے جانے سے روک دیا۔ اس دوران پولیس اور مظاہرین کے درمیان جھڑپ بھی ہوئی۔ پولیس نے سینیٹر مشتاق سمیت 20 People were arrested.
The Muslim student front led by former senator Mushtaq demonstrated at Abpara Chowk. Heavy police force was deployed on both sides of Abpara Market Road. Jamaat-e-Islami workers who came out for a protest demonstration after Friday prayers from Jamia Masjid Shahada tried to march towards the American Embassy, when the police used brutal violence to disperse them. Senator Mushtaq was also tortured by the police. Apart from this, the Appara market was closed by the police.
Traders resisted the closure of the market and incidents of verbal abuse with police personnel were also witnessed. Workers are present in groups in the market after dispersal. A van and an armored car of the prisoners were brought to Apara.
