Punjab government's decision to end domicile

Lahore (94 news) The Punjab government has decided to merge the domicile in the identity card data.

According to the details, Additional Chief Secretary Interior Momin Ali Agha has formed a high-level committee which will make recommendations in this regard.

The committee will formulate proposals for amendments in Pakistan Citizenship Act 1951, Pakistan Citizenship Rules 1952, NADRA Rules 2002, National Identity Card Regulations 2002 and other related legal frameworks.

The committee will complete its working in 3 weeks. The committee members will hold a meeting with NADRA officials next week to review the recommendations made so far in this regard.
