Farooq Qaiser was a Pakistani artist, columnist, TV show director, puppeteer, script writer and voice actor.

Professional Era.Kaiser's Career Begins 1970 After graduating from the National College of Arts, Lahore in the early 1990s, he made a short documentary in English. 1971 His teacher Salima Hashmi cast him in her children's television puppet show Akar Bakar. In this show, he worked on the script and puppets with Shoaib Hashmi, Maneza Hashmi and Faiz Ahmed Faiz. The show was intended to be the Pakistan version of the American entertainment and educational show Sesame Street. His first assignment on the show was to create a local version of Big Bird, after which he created many other characters for the program.
1976 In, Qaiser directed and wrote his own puppet show Kalyan which was called Pakistan Television (PTV) Posted on He created his own fictional puppet characters for the show, including Uncle Sargam, Higa and Masi Badalhe. Qaiser Farooq voiced Uncle Sargam. He created the character of Uncle Sargum in imitation of his teacher Molnar from Romania. This character was a popular name in Pakistan for many decades. Speaking about the character, Kaiser said, “اسے ہر متوسط طبقے کے پاکستانی کے لیے یکساں عدم تحفظ اور خوف ہے۔ وہ ایسی باتیں کہہ سکتا تھا جس کا اظہار ایک عام آدمی کرنا چاہتا تھا لیکن کہہ نہیں سکتا تھا”۔
انہوں نے کچھ عرصہ راولپنڈی کی فاطمہ جناح ویمن یونیورسٹی میں پڑھایا۔
2015 میں انھوں نے اسلام آباد ، پاکستان میں نیشنل انسٹی ٹیوٹ آف فوک اینڈ ٹریڈیشنل ہیریٹیج ( لوک ورثہ ) Served on the Board of Governors. He 1993 I was a Presidential Pride of Performance recipient. Also provided educational services for two years in India as a member of UNESCO.
His death 14 May 2021 died of a heart attack in Islamabad.
