Quota of journalists should be restored in housing schemes, President PFUJ

Islam Abad (94 news) A delegation of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists Professionals, led by President Mazhar Iqbal, met the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Fawad Chaudhry, and called the approval of the Journalists Protection Bill by the Parliament a welcome move. The delegation of PFUJ professionals said that the approval of this bill and the establishment of Journalists Protection Authority will protect the rights of journalists.
Mazhar Iqbal, president of PFUJ Professionals, while mentioning the problems regarding the residential facilities of journalists, said that the government should take an interest in this matter and make progress in solving the problems. He demanded that the quota of journalists should be restored in the housing schemes of the federal government. On which Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that a housing scheme for journalists is being built on the land of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Islamabad and other parts of the country. Which will be inaugurated soon. Plots will be provided in this housing scheme, this scheme will be equipped with modern facilities. The delegation of PFUJ professionals said that journalists should also be included in the schemes of Naya Pakistan Housing Authority. On which Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that he will also discuss with the Governor State Bank on the issue of providing loans to journalists regarding Naya Pakistan Housing Authority.
Mazhar Iqbal, president of PFUJ Professionals, said that health cards should be issued to provide health facilities to journalists, on which Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that health cards will be issued to all journalists and steps are being taken in this regard.
Issuance of Accreditation Card is being made online, Fawad Chaudhry
Federal Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry said that the process of issuing accreditation cards to journalists is being made easy and online. Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry while talking to the delegation said that the President will soon sign the Journalists Protection Bill. By making it a law, journalists will get convenience regarding their professional duties and their interests can be protected in a better way.
