Billions of rupees were lost to SBP, Supreme Court angry

Islam Abad (94 news) The Supreme Court of Pakistan has remarked that the State Bank has lost billions of rupees, the officers increased their salaries instead of other employees, the entire management of the State Bank should have been relieved.

According to the details, a hearing was held in the Supreme Court on the application against the decision of the Islamabad High Court of the State Bank regarding the golden handshake scheme.
The petition was heard by a two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed of the Supreme Court. In the media report, it was stated that during the hearing, Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed, being angry with the administration of the State Bank, remarked that the officers increased their salaries instead of other employees, the entire administration of the State Bank should have been relieved, the State Bank suffered billions of rupees, such a huge loss was caused by the incompetence of the bank administration.
The Chief Justice remarked that it is painful when such cases come to light, it is a shame that big officers take salaries and destroy institutions. Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi while talking to the lawyer of State Bank inquired how much rupees the institution has to pay later? To which the lawyer of the State Bank replied that the State Bank had to pay about two billion rupees.
The Chief Justice remarked indignantly that none of your officers would have been affected after such a huge loss. According to the report, during the hearing, the lawyer of the State Bank employees presented in the court that the lawyer of the State Bank did not attach the relevant documents. Speaking to the lawyer of the State Bank, the Chief Justice said that we did not expect this from a senior lawyer like you. The court accepted the State Bank's request regarding the Golden Handshake for hearing and adjourned further hearing of the case for six months.
