Faisalabad(94 News City Reporter) WASA Faisalabad has introduced a new de-silting model for transparent and paperless operations based on GIS under which de-silting activities have been digitized in all sub-divisions. Under the new system, all Assistant Directors can create de-silting schedules directly on GIS platforms in their respective areas and all these proposed schedules can be shared with Deputy Managing Directors and Directors for review and approval, then field staff can update de-silting activities by uploading before and after de-silting photos ensuring on-ground verification. Under the new system, the entire process is paperless and fully transparent and top management of WASA Faisalabad and WASA Punjab will be able to view and monitor the progress of all desilting activities through a centralized dashboard. In order to adopt this new system and ensure its efficient use, a training session was held for all O&M Assistant Directors, in which Managing Director Vasa was represented by Deputy Managing Director O&M Farhan Akram, while Deputy Director GIS Rana Fanwak Hussain gave a detailed briefing regarding the new digitized system and clarified that work is also underway to increase the capabilities of this system so that the complaint management system, customer data and AI capabilities are integrated with the new module.
