Nurul Amin Mengal along with MD Wasa Sohail Qadir Cheema and other officers visited the Eastern Waste Water Treatment Plant Project.

Faisalabad(94 News Mian Nadeem Ahmed)Provincial Secretary for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Nurul Amin Mengal paid a surprise visit to the Eastern Wastewater Treatment Plant project site late at night and inspected the construction work there. Managing Director Vasa Sohail Qadir Cheema, Deputy Managing Director Engineering Saqib Raza, Project Director Kamran Raza Kahlon and others were also present. Provincial Secretary Housing Noor Alamin Mengal was briefed about the project by Managing Director WASA and clarified that the design of the project has been completed while the contractor has been mobilized and the construction work has started. The Provincial Secretary Housing said that the waste water treatment plant project is unique and the only project of its kind which can be used for farming by treating the sewage and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed to complete this project within the time frame set on priority basis. The project is the only one in Punjab where 33 million gallons of daily sewage will be used for crops after treatment. With the completion of this project, where there will be abundant availability of water for the farmers, the citizens will also get relief from environmental and air pollution. He stated that WASA Faisalabad is trying its best to provide quality drainage facilities to the citizens and with the completion of this project, the sewage disposal services will be improved as well as the pollution will be controlled.
