The mosque was inaugurated by the founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran movement, Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, and the mosque was named Minhaj-ul-Quran Noori Jamia Masjid. Later, the construction of the mosque and related institutions continued, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri inaugurated it at each stage and department. In 1993, Minhaj-ul-Qur'an Model Secondary School for Boys was started and it was registered in the Department of Education under the ownership of Minhaj-ul-Qur'an. All these institutions were supervised by the then president and life members of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Haji Mohammad Rashid Qadri and Haji Mohammad Inayat Qadri. 2012 After the death of Haji Inayat Qadri, his son Haji Muhammad Ashraf ( Life Member Movement) And Asad Rashid, son of Haji Muhammad Rashid, started looking after the affairs of Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Center as a representative of Minhaj-ul-Quran. Meanwhile, Minhaj-ul-Qur'an Organization has formally registered Minhaj-ul-Qur'an Directorate General of Religion Education, Government of Pakistan. (DGRE) Noori Jamia Masjid and Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute 1986 From 2023 Till now Minhaj-ul-Quran Noori Masjid, Tahfiz-ul-Quran Institute and Minhaj-ul-Quran Model Boys School continued without interruption and external interference religious educational and organizational programs managed by Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran Faisalabad. During this time, electricity, gas and telephone connections in the institution were also installed in the name of Minhaj-ul-Quran institution. In 2023, Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran came to know that someone in the Education Department had to change the ownership of Minhaj-ul-Quran Model Boys Secondary School. Rana Ghazanfar Ali, the moderator of Minhaj-ul-Quran Welfare Society, Faisalabad, filed a complaint with the Education Department. Faisalabad Education Department formed a high-level investigation committee and summoned the school principal and other officials. Later, they were tried to get NOC in the name of Noori Masjid by deleting the word Minhaj-ul-Quran from the name of Minhaj-ul-Quran Noori Masjid, which was rejected by the Punjab Home Department. The Minhaj-ul-Quran Center Lahore deposed both the responsible persons from their responsibility and registered an FIR against these three persons in Jhang Bazar police station. The accused Haji Muhammad Ashraf and Muhammad Asad Rasheed held talks with officials of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran Faisalabad and admitted their mistake and recognized Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Center and affiliated institutions as the property of Tehreek-Minhaj-ul-Quran by the Minister of Management on a mutual agreement. 22 June 2025 After signing the agreement, Haji Muhammad Ashraf signed the agreement face to face in the presence of the school principal and all the staff members. After a few weeks, Haji Muhammad Ashraf and Asad Rasheed started open hooliganism with the help of MPA Rana Abdul Razzaq to take over the Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Center. Rana Razak called the officials of the organization in the Friday prayer gathering and threatened them. The organization informed the concerned police officers and the Deputy Commissioner about the situation, whereupon the Deputy Commissioner took up the matter in the meeting of the District Intelligence Committee, all law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies. 100 Presented a unanimous report that these Minhaj-ul-Quran Islamic Centers, mosques, schools, etc. are under the management and occupation of Minhaj-ul-Quran since the first day. Despite this, Rana Abdul Razzaq MPA is constantly trying to occupy the Minhaj-ul-Qur'an Islamic Center. All these emirs, scholars and leaders of Ahl-e-Sunnah have clearly recognized this message to the district administration and consider it their duty to protect the institutions of Ahl-e-Sunnah that are registered in the name of any Sunni organization. Ahl-e-Sunnats are united to protect their mosques, madrasahs and institutions. Immediate legal action was taken against Rana Abdul Razzaq and his followers. We are peace loving, patriotic and law abiding people. If this tradition of occupying mosques and madrassas managed by institutions is not stopped immediately, religious disorder will spread in the city. Today, if the attempt to take over the institutions of Minhaj-ul-Quran is not stopped legally, then the occupation mafia will pave the way to take over the mosques and madrasas of every institution in the coming time. At this time, there is a great anxiety among the people of Ahles-Sunnah. We strongly request the state institutions and the district administration to implement the decision of the District Intelligence Committee immediately. Otherwise, we reserve the legal and democratic right to start a protest movement from every mosque and seminary across the city.
