Focuses on equipping students with modern science and technology: Raja Basharat

Faisalabad (94 news) Provincial Law Minister Muhammad Basharat Raja has said that there is a special focus on higher education to equip the youth with modern science and technology to face the challenges of the future. In this regard, revolutionary steps are being taken to raise the quality of knowledge and research in the universities.

Vice-Chancellor University of Health Sciences Lahore Professor Dr. Javed Ikram, Patron-in-Chief of the University of Faisalabad Mian Muhammad Hanif, Chairman Board of Governors Zuhider Amin, Member Board of Governors, Mian Muhammad Rasheed, Rector Professor Dr. Shaukat Pervez, Pro-Rector Professor Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Principal University Medical and Dental College Professor Dr. Aamir Ala Chaudhry, Principal Dental Section Professor Dr. Farrukh Imran, besides teachers, parents and students were present in large numbers.

On this occasion, during the 7th convocation of the University of Faisalabad and the 6th convocation of the University of Medical and Dental College, a total of 1743 students were awarded degrees. 44 Gold medals, 61 silver medals and 39 students were awarded with brown medals. The provincial law minister congratulated the students, their parents and teachers who got the degree and showed outstanding performance in the academic field and said that the students who got the degrees should adopt the mission of achieving high goals in the practical field, in which hard work, dedication and diligent service should be done for success. He exhorted the youth to respect their parents and teachers. The provincial minister said that the youth have to take this country forward, so they should understand their national responsibilities and play their role in the development of the country and the nation. He said that the present government is providing wide opportunities to the youth in knowledge and skills and these facilities will be accessible to every youth. He appreciated the initiatives and support of Higher Education Commission, Higher Education Department and various Appreciating the valuable services of the administrators of University of Faisalabad, Medical and Dental College for achieving success during this period, he assured of his full cooperation. Earlier, the Punjab Law Minister distributed medals and degrees to the students who achieved prominent positions. There are state of the art facilities for teaching and faculties. He also informed about the facilities provided for the deserving students and patients in the teaching hospital.
