The Deputy Commissioner reached the vegetable market early in the morning, reviewed the prices

Faisalabad (94 news) On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali visited Sabzi Mandi Siddhar in the morning to monitor the process of fruit and vegetable auctions. Assistant Commissioners City and President Zoha Shakir, Nazia Mohal, Extra Assistant Director of Agriculture Abdul Rahman and officers of the Market Committee were also present on the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner went to the different sheds of the vegetable market and carefully reviewed the availability of certain vegetables and fruits and the bids given for their sale on wholesale basis and asked the arhattis to avoid unnecessary and unjustified increase in the bid of any item as this negative trend directly affects the sale of retail prices of vegetables and fruits which creates difficulties for the common consumers. He asked the officers of the market committee to keep a close eye on the supply of vegetables and fruits and to take immediate steps to supply in case of shortage of any item so that there is no fear of price increase. He directed to fix the retail prices with legitimate profit after transparent and reasonable bids and issue the price list immediately.
