Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Women Empowerment and Mentoring Program at Government College Women University Faisalabad ( WEMP) The closing ceremony of the first session was held, with special guest Dr. Nor Amana Malik Mening Director National Academy of Higher Education ( NAHE ) Islamabad and Member of Parliament were Saadia Timur Focal Person to Chief Minister Punjab, Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development Department. In the first session of the Women's Empowerment and Mantoring Program, seventeen teachers from different departments received training from fourteen Mentor. Dr. Noor Amana Malik emphasized the need for an effective solution by talking about the issues facing women in educational institutions. He said that under the "Outreach Program" we not only trained female teachers and students but also gave them awareness that they should make their problems indiscriminately so that they can be effectively resolved. They emphasized that unless women raise their voices, the solution will not be possible. Dr Noor Amina said that across Pakistan 18 Women Empowerment and Mentoring has been successful in universities. He instructed the students to be ready for leadership and to enhance their positive abilities and not to be afraid of the problems they face. He said that the Government College Women University is the first university among eighteen universities across Pakistan where the program was completed in a good way and today it is closing. Women are now playing a significant role in the economic, educational and social sectors. Plans such as e-boycles, scholarships, laptops, working women hostels, day care centers and the Woman Protection Center are proving milestones to empower women. He added that if women were given opportunities to move forward through education and skills, they would not be left behind in any field. He emphasized that women will have to walk with positive thinking, skills and self -esteem. Vice -Chancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Amin emphasized in his address that he should be interested in the process of learning and teaching so that he is merely a formal action, but a positive and pleasant experience.
