A number of government agencies are a burden on the national exchequer, Minister of State for Finance

Islam Abad (94 news) Federal Minister of State for Finance Ayesha Ghos Pasha has said that many government institutions including commercial institutions are a burden on the national treasury.

Addressing a seminar on corporate governance in Islamabad, he said that there are problems related to the performance of government institutions.

Ayesha Ghos Pasha said that the country is suffering from financial deficit, Pakistan is facing many financial problems.

He said that the government departments need to be activated according to the current needs, the government institutions have to ensure service delivery.

The Minister of State for Finance has further said that in today's era all sectors need to work.

Ayesha Ghos Pasha also says that the board of directors of government institutions should be made effective.
