The suspension notice issued by the FIA stated that Assistant Director FIA Asif Iqbal had created a personal account on Twitter without taking permission from the department where he posted awareness messages.
According to Independent Urdu, Asif Iqbal claimed that "he has been removed from the post and the reason is not what is mentioned in the notice but Iman Mazari's tweet which he made against him a few days ago."
