The ongoing schemes under the annual development program should be completed by the stipulated time, said MD Wasa Sohail Qadir Cheema


Faisalabad (94 News City Reporter) Vasa Managing Director Sohail Qadir Cheema has warned that the ongoing schemes under the annual development program should be completed by the stipulated time. No delay will be tolerated in the construction works of development schemes. Presiding over the development progress review meeting of ADP, he said that the consultant agency NESPAK should strictly monitor all the development schemes and the progress of all the ongoing works should be as per the set timeline. Similarly, the testing, quality of the pipe to be laid, as well as the weight of manhole covers and other standards should be counter checked. MD WASA Sohail Qadir Cheema further said that notices should be issued to the contractor firms of the development schemes on which the work has not been started, while the speed of the construction work on the schemes should be accelerated. Weekly progress must be completed and no tardiness will be accepted. Similarly, there should not be any kind of hindrance in the construction works. He also urged to start the construction work on Main Channel 4 this week. MD Wasa clarified that it is a priority to complete the construction works on ADP schemes in time so that after the completion of these schemes, better and quality drainage services can be provided to the citizens. Deputy Managing Director Engineering Saqib Raza, Director P&D Hina Saleem, Director Construction Usman Latif, Ali Ahmed, representatives of consultant agency Nespak were also present on this occasion.
