Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali pays surprise visit to Sudhar Sabzi Mandi

Faisalabad (94 news) Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali visited Sabzi Mandi Sidhar and reviewed the bidding process and wholesale prices of onions and other vegetables. Assistant Commissioner Sadr Umar Maqbool, Extra Assistant Director Agriculture Abdul Rehman and officers of Market Committee were also present.

The Deputy Commissioner visited various sheds and stalls and checked the prices and quantities of fruits and vegetables while reviewing the auction procedure. While comparing the bids, he made it clear that no attempt should be made to increase the price of any fruit or vegetable unnecessarily.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali said that bids in the vegetable markets are being monitored to protect the public from the trend of inflation and no arhattis will be allowed to increase the wholesale price unjustifiably. The Deputy Commissioner also went to the Kisan platform and checked the presence of price list and other facilities there. He made a detailed visit to the vegetable market and inquired about the terms and conditions of the bids from the vendors. He said that continuous monitoring of the bidding process is going on in the fruit and vegetable markets. He said that safety arrangements should be kept vigilant in the vegetable market and the duty officers should perform their duties responsibly.
