Suffer a hundred hardships for the sake of the house, the house is yours after all
94 News. The defense of the homeland takes precedence over the individual's caste, family, tribe and any other thing because if there is a homeland, then there is a home, and if there is a homeland, then there is an individual. The relationship between man and country is as old as man. There is no other opinion that patriotism is one of the principles of nature. The most basic concept of homeland is home and the broadest concept of home is homeland. This is the reason that having a house is not only for humans but also for animals and birds as important and indispensable. Nesting of birds and the feeling of fear and aversion in animals to the intrusion of another animal into their territory is found naturally and instinctively, not through education and training. Animals, like humans, do not migrate happily in the face of difficult situations. It is as if home and homeland are included in the veins of a person. Changing the house is still easy and shifting from home to a good house is a dream and a source of happiness, but there is no concept of shifting from homeland to a good homeland because homeland is only one which cannot be carried to any other place.
Despite moving from one's country to another country, the homeland remains what it is. Today, even in this modern and most civilized era, after going and settling in another country, in the eyes of the local population, the emigrant is considered a foreigner for generations and gets the status of a second class citizen. From the religious point of view, love for country has been declared as a part of faith. In many hadiths of the Holy Prophet, the importance and virtue of love for one's country is taught. On one occasion, when Warqa bin Nawfal told him that his people would deny him, he remained silent. Secondly, when he said that your people will make you suffer, even then you did not say anything. The third time when he said that he will be expelled from his country, he said immediately: Will they throw me out of my homeland? Imam Sahili writes after stating this:
This is a clear proof of patriotism.
Suhaili, al-Ruz al-Anaf, c: 2, p 421
In this statement, there is an argument about the intense love of his father for his homeland and how difficult it was for him to be separated from his fatherland. When the Holy Prophet heard about being expelled from his homeland, he immediately said, "Will my enemies expel me from here?" The question of Holy Prophet is also very eloquent. This is the reason why the words spoken by the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) while addressing Makkah while migrating, which were narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said::
translation : ”O Makkah, what a pure city you are and how dear you are to me, if my people had not forced me to leave you, I would not have settled anywhere else but you. ”
In this hadith, the Holy Prophet has clearly expressed his love for his birth and abode i.e. Makkah. Similarly, on returning from a journey, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) speeding up his ride to enter his homeland, Madinah Munawarah, is also a great example of love for the homeland. It is as if the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was so devoted to the love of the country that he would hasten to enter it. Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates:
translation:”When the Holy Prophet (PBUH) would return from a journey and see the walls of Medina, he would speed up his ride and if he was riding another animal, he would mount it in love. ”
In the same way, Allah Ta'ala has said in the Holy Qur'an while showing the love and connection to his homeland with the love of his life:And if We had written to them that you should kill yourselves and leave your homes, they would not have done it except for a few.(Surah An-Nasa) And at one point he connected the love of country with religion: Allah did not forbid you from doing good and justice to those who did not fight you in the matter of religion and did not drive you out of your homes.(Surat al-Mutahnah)Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) left his wife Hazrat Hajra and son Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon him) in Makkah for permanent residence and submitted to the Yazidi shrine, which is described in the Holy Quran as follows. : And when Hazrat Ibrahim said: Oh my God! Make it a city of peace and reward its inhabitants with fruits who believe in Allah and the Last Day.(Al-Baqara pig)It is not possible to love the country and not love the countrymen. Rather, the country loves each and every thing. It is narrated in Muslim Sharif that the prayer of Holy Prophet (PBUH) is: O Lord! Ibrahim (peace be upon him) is your servant, Khalil and Prophet and I am also your servant and prophet. Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) prayed for Makkah and I pray the same for Madinah.(Muslim Sharif)
Our religion is the religion of nature. The religious commandments on the dedication and sanctification of the homeland are the ultimate guide for the purification and balance of human nature. The feeling of being stateless is many times more intense than the feeling of being orphaned and abandoned, and then if the homeland is like Pakistan, which we consider a paradise on earth, for which our ancestors sacrificed a lot, its protection is also a religious requirement.
