Faisalabad (94 news) On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, Provincial Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Bilal Akbar Khan visited Faisalabad along with members of the Peace Committee in connection with Muharram. A meeting regarding the law and order situation during Muharram was also held at the commissioner's office. On this occasion, Additional IGCDT, CPO, DC, DIG, Special Branch and DPOs and Deputy Commissioners from across the region participated. RPO Faisalabad Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan while giving a briefing regarding security said that all the security agencies are providing full security to all the processions and gatherings during Muharram Haram. SSP Operations Faisalabad briefing the RPO Faisalabad Dr. Mohammad Abid Khan said that the police officers are in contact and with better coordination security is being ensured and security screening and sweeping of the routes is being done before the procession.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar visited DSP President Waseem Faraz, who was injured in the police encounter, at the Allied Hospital. DSP president Waseem Faraz had crossed the top 10 advertiser of Punjab along with his partner in the police encounter during the police encounter and he himself was also injured.
