May 1st, International Labor Day, plight of farmers and laborers in Pakistan and government claims

He will be sleepy, how can he not have bread in the evening after work?

94 News, Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri Comr. 1st May Labor Day is also a public holiday in Pakistan. But we only have a holiday on this day. But practically Labor Day is not celebrated. On the occasion of this international day, you will see industrial workers working in factories and mills. In the same way, you will see wage laborers standing on tall buildings, open roads, streets and bases for labor. It is an indisputable fact that the farmer is the representative of God on earth. Our ruling class, the country's elite, the country's princes and chiefs, are alive and well because of the hard work of the peasants. Farmers are prosperous, Pakistan is prosperous. But today farmers in our country are protesting on the streets for the sale of wheat, instead of being prosperous, they are in trouble. The Department of Agriculture is going around the offices to get Bardana. Despite government promises to farmers 3900 Wheat is not being bought for Rs. Raids are being carried out on the houses of farmers raising the word for their rights. They are being picked up from their homes. They are being arrested. Lathis are being rained on the oppressed laboring peasants who are protesting. The salaried and industrial worker is the master of civilization. But in our country, industrial workers do not get any kind of privileges. The industrial worker is not being properly compensated for his labor. Fair wages are not being paid. Consciousness is not created in the nation by the tyranny of a clownish political actor leader, consciousness is created by the industrial revolution. In our society, the working class in our country is facing numerous problems. Physical facilities are not available to wage labourers.

The wage laborer is longing for a handful of rice and flour. It should be remembered that on May 1, 1986, the workers of Chicago put their lives on the line to fight against working 16 hours a day like slaves, and approved eight hours a day, and in the 19th century, workers in industrialized countries continuously struggled and The basic right of association was obtained through sacrifices. Earlier, when the working class raised their voices for their rights, they were declared as rebels and hanged. But it is a pity that these economic atrocities are being inflicted on farmers and workers even today. Even today, the economic massacre of the laborers continues. In Pakistan, the elites make numerous laws for their personal interests, but our elites, our ruling group, have never made any effort to legislate for the prosperity and development of farmers and laborers. There is no room for doubt and it is hundred percent true that Karl Marx is the world's only first and last born true revolutionary change great leader. No other real revolutionary leader like Karl Marx has been born in the history of the world. With us, the Qur'an and the hadith of Islam are discussed, arguments and interpretations are given. Interpretations are made but nothing is actually done. The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, declared labor to be a form of worship and exalted the greatness of labor by working hard in the construction of the Prophet's Mosque. In today's science, technology and economic era, it is the duty of the state of Pakistan to eliminate the exploitation system in the society according to the preamble of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the guaranteed rights of the constitution according to Article No. 11, to eliminate the forced labor of young children in the society. , Article no 14 Protection of human dignity under Article No. 9, provision of basic necessities for life and Article No. 37 and 38 According to the constitutional and legal responsibility should be fulfilled. Healthy working conditions, reasonable wages, social security should be provided for the industrial workers. In order to remove the gap between the rich and the poor in the society, the education and training of wage laborers and industrial workers and the comprehensive goal of providing them with employment, long-term stable planning should be done immediately. International Labor Organization and United Nations important conventions for protection and improvement of rights should be ratified in Pakistan. There is a dire need to harmonize the laws of the country to implement them. It is sad to say that the feudal and capitalist system is getting stronger day by day in our country Pakistan. The brutal system of unfair distribution of wealth has been fully practiced. There is a monopoly of wealth in the hands of a few people. Due to education becoming a business in the society, the children of poor farmers are deprived of education. A few government families, privileged influential families have become owners of billions of rupees overnight by setting up housing schemes on agricultural lands through extensive business of housing societies. While the miserable farmers and the wage and industrial labor class cannot even build a two-marla house. Due to the lack of effective implementation of the prevailing labor laws in the country, farmers and laborers are deprived of social security, unsafe working conditions and low wages. Our blind society and materialistic society is suffering from the curses of forced labor of young children and discrimination against women. Instead of liberating the nation from foreign debt, our ruling class, elite governments have economically mortgaged the nation to the IMF, the World Bank. Because of the tax 70 The middle classes, farmers and laborers have to pay a percentage of the interest on their loans. There is an urgent need to ensure the payment of reasonable wages to the salaried and industrial labor class, to provide them with safe social security in case of old age, illness and accident. Our working class is thirsty for respect and honor of labor in the society. in the country 80 Percentage taxpayers are salaried employees, while in the majority of the country capitalists and landlords, businessmen and some politicians pay nominal taxes. The need of the hour is to collect taxes from them and ensure the provision of facilities for the growing poverty in the country, the welfare of the workers, the education of children, and the treatment of farmers and laborers. In the country, not only legal justice but also social and economic justice should be available to the workers and poor people.
